Charles! I just saw this through some photos Rick Dieterle posted on Facebook. (Who apparently commented above me.) I am so sorry to hear he passed away - he was a very special person. Thanks for posting this. - Alice (Quinton) Robertson

I too knew Jacob from the UC days and didn't keep in touch with him, to my loss.

He was a very cool guy and any who knew him were lucky.

I recently found a picture of him playing guitar and posted it to my Facebook albums.

Thanks for posting this Charles.

Hi,

Some additional info relating to this.

I've just upgraded to Windows 7 from XP and experienced the same jitter problem you describe. I'm a comic artist and use Sketchbook Pro 2 with a Cintiq 21UX. I found that disabling the service in the services menu didn't work for me (Could be a Windows 7 thing). However going into Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows Features On or Off and unticking the Tablet PC Components worked a treat. I also turned off the Press and Hold feature in Pen & Touch as this was causing some nasty lag.

Thought I'd post this here as Putting "Windows 7 Sketchup Wacom Jitter" into Goggle brought this blog up first, so this may help some folks with the same issue.

I had the priviledge to work with Jacob when he was in Belgium. I learned very much from him and we had a lot of fun. Jacob was just a pure diamond.
Like all his friends, family and colleagues, I miss him very much and think about him every day.

I knew Jacob all the way back in elementary school and all the same admirable characteristics were true then as well. He was intelligent and kind and funny, too. I am sure he will be missed by his family deeply. So very sorry for your loss. He was a great man.

Luis - The Emery Ed Fund (www.emeryed.org) usually does a screening at the Pixar campus about a month before each movie release. I'm guessing the next one will be around mid-May next year, for Toy Story 3 (which comes out June 18). I've been to four of their events now, and it's always a blast. If you join their mailing list, they'll let you know ahead of time. Good luck to your son!

I have a teenage son who is very interested in pursuing a career in animation. He is already creating projects with animation software. How do we go about setting up a tour of the Pixar Studios.
